Christmas Eve Joys

09cc0-5onfriday-logooption1

My goodness it’s only Christmas Eve! It feels like it’s taken an age to get here & then crept up on me at the last minute!

To celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, here are my five joys this Christmas Eve (not Friday but close…) Thanks Natasha, April, Christina & Darci.

O N E   A gift to myself – Choosing to Love My Hometown.

It’s a crime not to gift oneself during Christmas.  Loving my hometown hasn’t been easy but my journey this year has seen me turning some inbuilt ideals & pedestal placement on their head. Instead of following the crowd I’ve been working out ‘well, what do you think?’

Read my post HERE about my passion for Yeovil’s industry, community & innovation.

I’m looking forward to celebrating my family Christmas right here, & it starts right now.

T W O   Sweet Bea’s First Christmas & Sweet Harry’s Fourth!

Is there anything more precious than a baby’s first Christmas? Apart from all the Christmasses that follow (& Mama/baby matching outfits)?!

Seeing the fairy lights in their eyes, the tiny cards from little friends & SH singing in the Preschool sing-a-long are highlights so far. Christmas through these sweet babes’ eyes, I want to hold on to these moments forever.

I’m beyond obsessed with personalising everything! Especially at Christmas, if I can stick a name or monogram on it, I will. I really enjoyed choosing our little family’s stockings from Pottery Barn. These beauties are just as lovely in reality as online. They were so easy to  order & thank goodness they were worth the shipping costs (phew)!

F O U R   My BFF’s Gift

I CANNOT wait to give my BFF Roberta her gift this year. I will share it with you once it’s reached its owner! I loved it so much I got one too. No-one could be a more loyal & loving friend. Happy Christmas B!

F  I V E   Looking forward to New Year

This year I’m actually looking forward to New Year! In past years I have found it to easy to focus on disappointments of ideas that didn’t come to fruition or friends I didn’t catch up with or other things I’d set my sights on. Yes, I think it’s good to look back on the year & reflect on those things that didn’t go so well, but to use that reflection for good change. I also think it’s great to reflect on our successes, my children’s journey & on the things that worked out really well!

My New Years resolution is to say ‘should’ less & ‘will’ more.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year 2014! Cheers to new adventures, I hope you’ll join me in mine.

Until the next time friends!
Have a great day
